Scope

What we do, and what we don't.

A good home-care team knows its limits. We tell you where they are up front, and we coordinate the specialists for the rest.

What we do

  • Preventive checks and inspections
  • Filters, batteries and consumables
  • Assembly, hanging and mounting
  • Adjustments, tightening and hardware
  • Caulking, grout and small drywall patches with paint touch-up
  • Weatherstripping and door repairs
  • Gutter clearing, pressure washing, dryer vents
  • Irrigation timers and head adjustments
  • Setting out and putting away your existing shutter panels

What we leave to licensed specialists

This work belongs to licensed professionals. We don't perform it. We flag it, document it and can coordinate one for you; you contract with them directly.

  • Wiring, outlets, switches, fixtures, fans and hardwired alarms
  • Fixtures, valves and pipework
  • Water heaters and disposals
  • Air-conditioning equipment beyond the filter
  • Roofing, windows, doors and shutters installation
  • Pest, termite and mold treatment
  • Pools and pool equipment
  • Anything behind a wall, or that needs a permit

How we handle the line

We say no clearly

If a task isn't ours to do, we tell you straight away and explain who should do it. A clear no is part of the service.

Nothing is a surprise

Scope and price are agreed in writing before any extra work. We never add to a job without asking.

We never disturb what's hidden

In older homes we leave paint, ceilings and joint compound that may contain lead or asbestos alone, and we tell you why.

We report what we see

If we notice mold, moisture, pests or damage, you hear about it, with photos, even when it isn't ours to fix.

Ask us anything first

If you are not sure whether something is something we do, ask. We will tell you plainly.
